Our Business stream is the perfect fit for you if you’re looking for a graduate programme that will constantly surprise and engage you. It’s a challenging environment, but ultimately a rewarding one with a fantastic chance to interact with management in CSC and our client base.

Service Delivery

Our clients expect a consistent, reliable service from CSC and our Service Managers and Executives are there to forge strong relationships. They also help with directing our technical experts to reach and exceed the expectations of our customers and to make sure that we always perform to highest standards while keeping a close eye on profitability.

One day, you might be leading a cross-functional technology team restoring services to a major client. The next, it’s possible to be working with the business development teams to create innovative services for the future. The work is always varied and there is never a dull moment.
On your graduate placement in Service Delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to work on different client accounts across the region. Opportunities exist at all stages in the service lifecycle including business development, service transition and transformation and ongoing service delivery.  

Your career development is structured to include on-the-job experience and the chance to study for industry-recognised qualifications in ITIL.

To excel in Service Delivery, you’ll need confidence, excellent communication skills, calmness under pressure and natural business acumen.

Client Business Development

The Client and Business Development stream is dedicated to winning long-term, mid-scale and large-scale complex business and IT service contracts from organisations across Europe and understanding how we can best support our clients' needs is at the heart of everything we do.
Employees in this stream are mainly assigned to client management or sales focused roles, which is exactly where you will fit in.

Our aim is to develop well rounded individuals who understand how to conduct themselves in the world of business. Graduates joining our stream will quickly learn how to develop rapport, understand how to influence and negotiate and have the ability to think and act with the customer in mind.

We offer two routes within our stream, enabling you to either develop a broad career in client and business development or for those of you who want be become more of a specialist, the opportunity to enter the dynamic world of sales. The choice is yours!

Client and Business Development

If you enjoy dealing with customers and think you have what it takes to understand their business and provide them with solutions that will solve their business problems, then read on!
Through exposure to key roles, including account management, business development, client relationship management and sales, you will gain an understanding of how businesses operate. You will also develop an understanding of IT services, including markets and competition.
Graduates will gain exposure to key areas of our business and will be expected to complete a number of assignments whilst on the Programme, including supporting an account management team, creating sales enablement materials and working with the Sales Team in bid management. Each assignment will provide you with a different aspect of the client management lifecycle and an opportunity to develop the key skills that you’ll require to become successful in this area.

When you’ve completed the two year Programme, you are likely to become an Account Manager, a Marketing Specialist or a Go To Market Lead.

Bid and Sales Management

Improving our sales capability and developing employees to sell is a key driver for CSC and of critical importance to CSC in winning new business. During the 2 year programme you will undertake a number of key assignments within the UK and Ireland Sales Centre to develop your understanding of the end to end bid process including bid management, sales support, commercial awareness and deal structure. It's a dynamic environment and you will need to be committed and focused on results with demonstrable interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence. In return, we will provide you with all the learning opportunities and formal training that's needed to become a Sales Professional.

Project Management

We are looking for graduates who are keen to develop into strong project managers capable of delivering complex IT projects to budget, on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
During the graduate programme, you will undertake a series of assignments that cover the whole project lifecycle. Each project will almost certainly be part of a much larger change programme which requires us to address a number of fundamental issues connected to scope, resources, risk, quality management, as well as cost and communication.

Graduate placements in project management deliver structured development, including on-the-job experience as well as formal training – providing the basis for industry-standard accreditation, and culminating in a permanent project management role.

To be successful in the above roles you will need to be a talented communicator, both written and orally, with a natural flair for networking. You'll also need to demonstrate that you can work well as part of team and have the courage to take on new challenges in areas that you may not have experienced before.
